Erasure - The Violet Flame - (Limited Edition LP White Vinyl Album)

The Violet Flame, the sixteenth studio album by the BRIT and Ivor Novello award winning duo Erasure (Vince Clarke and Andy Bell), reissued on limited edition white vinyl via Mute.
Originally released in 2014, The Violet Flame was produced by Richard X (known for his work with The Human League, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and M.I.A). The album quickly made an impact, climbing to No. 2 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart and securing a spot in the UK Top 20. From the moment it hit the shelves, listeners were drawn into that empowering sense of optimism, with the album’s title, The Violet Flame, taking its name from a spiritual term for transformation of negative energy into positive energy, freedom and forgiveness. The album marked another stunning success of emotionally-charged electro-pop with euphoric, synth-fuelled melodies that strike instantly into the heart.
Since their formation in 1985, Erasure have released a staggering number of albums and singles, and left an indelible mark on our musical landscape. Over decades of work and friendship their relatable, soulful, life-affirming tunes, fuelled by a desire to create uplifting music for everybody has meant that they have become one of the UK’s most enduring pop duos and songwriters.
The Violet Flame is available on 1500 copies worldwide limited edition white vinyl and reissued alongside Tomorrow's World and Snow Globe.
"Erasure - The Violet Flame" is out Friday, 13th December 2024 on Mute and available for pre-order now.

At least they realized the presumable added demand for a TVF release with a bigger run.

Still, it was a little amusing to see Mute have the earlier SG and TW reissue pressings also available side by side with these newer reissues, and that someone realized the older ones ought to be pulled down. (They now have been)

I assume they will pop up again at some point, but now probably isn't the best time to sell them.

I’m excited!

It’s nice to see this being reissued for those vinyl fans who want this. iirc it was only available if you preordered through Pledge Music. I’m not a vinyl collector but I toyed with the idea of buying a second-hand sealed copy for $100. Glad I decided to hold off.
