Christmas Party Livestream Special 18th December 2020

Post by Pughie »

ERASURE: SAVE THE DATE - VINCE CLARKE AND ANDY BELL WILL BE HOSTING THE ERASURE ONLINE CHRISTMAS PARTY ON DECEMBER 18th!

Consider yourself on notice that Andy and Vince will be hosting another Facebook Live event on December 18th at 8pm (UK), so stick the date and the time in your diary and I will have more details for you next week. In the meantime expect the usual Erasure chat, a Q&A session, during which the band will answer your most pressing Erasure questions, some festive tunes on the turntable, a couple of glasses of something seasonal and - perhaps - some celebratory apparel. More information next week when we've got it all worked out! You are all invited... :-)

I think these livestreams should be something they keep doing going forward even if just for album releases.

From Erasure FaceBook page

We're so sorry everyone but technology has let us down, we can see ourselves streaming but you can't, so we have a new plan...
We are going to keep on doing the show but we will record it and the broadcast it as a video tomorrow night instead.
Apologies for the gremlins in the system!

I found this 'Christmas Party' to be a bit downbeat and too much focus on the pandemic which you could tell Vince was trying to move Andy away from at times.

I got about an hour or so in to it last night, got to the ridiculous questions and switched it off and watched a Christmas movie instead!

Was anything revealed after point which I didn't get to hear? They briefly covered the forthcoming Neon ambient alternative album, but not much else?

I must admit I felt the same,I did watch it all through though, but really when you break it all down (oooh almost a song title) that alternative/ambient Neon was the only take away comment as far as musical content is concerned.

Thanks Pughie. I did wonder what they talked about for the remaining hour after the questions!

I enjoyed hearing Andy talk about “Looking Glass Sea!” Not sure I knew that they originally mistakenly thought Madonna would sing the song so it was written with that in mind! 8-)
