New album Pre release chat (The Neon)
Re: New album
On a Facebook Erasure Group page or two, some posters think this David is the producer (as opposed to the mixer) and I was going to correct them (still might) but I figure they’ll get the accurate info soon enough...

Your correct David is ‘mixing’ the album,it’s already been produced by the two Bens, mentioned previously.
So the guy On left (with beard) is Ben Etter & the Other is Ben Allen.

Hello
To keep you in the loop on progress across the forthcoming Erasure album project, the band are currently in the process of deciding what each of the songs on the new records will actually be called as they currently only exist as single-word titles which describe the 'vibe' of each track, and the album also need to go through the mastering process to get it ready for production.
Additionally, next week will also see the first project meeting for the wider Erasure team take place at Mute HQ so we can start putting some of the pieces in place at last. Again, don't expect any actual news on the album, or on any live dates, for some time yet, I'm just mentioning these things because I know that you like to know that progress is being made!

Re: New album
As Stephano pointed out elsewhere, the word "records" was used. Likely a typo...probably...

Yeah... put an 'S' on the wrong word. Should have been on the end of 'need':Tin Soldier wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2020 6:06 am the word "records" was used. Likely a typo...probably...![]()

"the album also need to go through the mastering process"
Should read "needs"!
Also, everywhere else 'album' is used in the singular.
Of course, singles are also records...
Re: New album
Speaking of records, the last official new vinyl single release from Mute was The Violet Flame Remixes in 2015? And before that, Storm Chaser?
It would be nice to have at least one new 12" from the new album.
