Meetings will be held on the Twelfth of Never, by the riverbank near the magical castle.
Not sure of the exact location yet but this could be any place, a place where you and I could sing this song.
Toing and froing is most welcome.Pughie wrote: Sun Feb 17, 2019 9:05 am I would like to join, but if I feel I have to leave at any time, then I want to rejoin would you Take Me Back?
I'd like to nominate myself as Chairman of said club.chemicalboy wrote: Sat Feb 16, 2019 1:32 pm I'm in.![]()

I guess that's part of its appeal - there is one and only one (official) recording. Perhaps it should stay that way - as not to possibly tarnish the greatest song ever written. As much as I'd love to hear Take Me Back live, it shouldn't wouldn't live up to my impossible hopes!mrblue wrote: Sun Feb 17, 2019 10:23 pm I have to say, everyone here on the forums really, really seems to love this song, plus I have several family and friends who adore this song too (myself strongly included!) If we were to compile a list of Fan's Most-Cherished Songs That Have Since Gotten The Least Love From The Band/Label - Take Me Back certainly has be at the #1 spot.
Erasure have never played it live, never released an official remix, no Union Street acoustic treatment, no radio or tv sessions, no demos or alternate takes, or anything. Nothing but complete and deafening silence regarding Take Me Back since it came out in 1994! Maybe that's not unusual for every single song, but among those neglected songs, Take Me Back just has an unstoppable popular momentum that warms my heart and I don't know of any other song that comes close. (Phantom Bride yes, but plenty of live performances, the EP, etc.) Hopefully that will eventually change and V&A will revisit TMB live one day. It will be a lucky crowd that night too!!
Nice! Gives the song a bit of extra oomph!
I have to agree. Even though Andy could take the high notes down an octave, the song is probably best left alone. A demo would sure be nice though! We've gotten demos from other I Say tracks, so it probably does exist!Onge wrote: Thu Feb 21, 2019 12:46 pm I guess that's part of its appeal - there is one and only one (official) recording.
