Yesterday was special. Andy and I performed jazz standards at Fenella Fielding’s sumptuous memorial. Her plaque was unveiled at St Paul’s Actors Church. It was a rip-roaring sendoff: equal parts moving and hilarious. My takeaways: empathising with the nerves of... and encouraging this lovely gentleman, and Cleo Laine’s duet with Jacqui. A performance of exquisite, devastating beauty, and a rare opportunity to hobnob with the Who’s Who of Fenella’s generation. So nice to be asked. Thank you Simon.
