We need a little quarantine cheer! Who wishes we got a sneak peak of the new album before it was released? What if we all promised to buy it when it comes out? Maybe we can get them to do an online concert for the fans?

Just daydreaming...

It does seem like V&A were done really quickly with the songwriting and songmaking, and I am a little worried that album might be put together too fast. I'm always an advocate of taking more time and making each album epic, as opposed to a here's-your-10-tracks-in-40-minutes product.

In any case, V&A have never let me down and I promise to buy it! No albums teasers though for me. My first listen has to be all at once with virgin ears.

What you say begs the question of whether some of what has been written was written for WBG and not used. It's hard to say from the clip if the tracks are spiritually related, but I suppose time will tell. Me, I believe V&A can easily compose new innovative material even if in their long career there might have been one or two moments that had a rushed feel.

I thought that World Be Gone was a great new album, but it had two big problems. Firstly the word Baby, I really never want to hear that word again, or babe or darling. Secondly was the mastering/mixing of the vocals. Apart from that I thought the title track was as close to Take Me Back as a single as we will ever get. For the new album I hope for a good mix of slow and upbeat songs with lyrics that are not baby based.

“Baby Based” — I think you came up with a new musical reference there!! :D

There were definitely moments of greatness in WBG, including the title track, Oh What a World and Lousy Sum of Nothing. We were all in such a mood and dark place then, weren’t we??

I also agree about too many “babies”!! And yes on several tracks Andy had an augmented lisp!!

Looking forward to what the new era shall bring!!

All understandable. Prudent, even.

Part of me wonders if there's even some potential upside of drawing out the release. Perhaps Mute can consider some choices they haven't before when it comes to available formats, singles released, merchandise, etc. In the mindset of considering more, of course. :mute1: ;)

Plus, if the tour is pushed pushed back to colder months, there's hope of another tour scarf!

See? An upside to everything. :D
