I love the new AmI Right?, Home and Turns The Love To Anger mixes. The Love To Hate You one just reminds me of the fact that there was never a really great remix of that fantastic song. The Live disc is nice, but again it is not really perfect. Perhaps they changed the sound of the songs during the tour or the recording is not that great. I have seen a few of those shows in Germany and there was loads more bass, and lots of little sounds that don't stand out in this recording. It always bothered me. I used to have a bootleg tape (on two tapes actually) of one of the Hannover shows, I played that a million times but never made it digital, many years later and I have no idea what happened to those tapes, but I clearly remember me driving home after work in the very early hours listening to them. The actual recording was a bit amateur, but it had all the bass and those little bleeps that made that tour so very special. The booklet is very nice, Vince mentioning Dee-Lite's What IsLove is an eye opener. I listened to it the first time today, Vince has used that song for inspiration many times I would say

Erasure – Chorus : References & Influences
To accompany the release of a deluxe reissue of Erasure’s 1991 monophonic analogue opus Chorus, I put together a series of additional short written pieces focussed on the album’s four distinctive single videos, along with Andy and Vince’s recollections of The Phantasmagorical Entertainment tour that followed in 1992.
For this final piece, we delve into the myriad influences and reference points that cropped up during the interviews I undertook to prepare the reissue’s liner notes.
Mat Smith.

Erasure Chorus chart position #16 - 17th Feb - 23rd Feb 2020[/URL]
Is this the first time a remastered Erasure album has re-entered the charts? How did The Innocents do?

So keep your discs in the box, and stream the album over and over again, perhaps we get another week in the charts, that would be fantastic.

For
YOU over
THERE, you mean. No streaming for us yanks, unfortunately.
Me, I FLAC'd all of them already anyhow.

I understand your frustration. The whole terrible time when Mute was sold to a different company, and then became indie again was such a mess. To make things worse Erasure also changed labels in the US of A which made things even more difficult for you.

Yes, it's frustrating when it comes to streaming or some digital releases, but I don't mind BMG going back to the well for things like RSD 12"s and LPs. Scrounge up more content (arguably, they haven't done so good a job there, but still) or get
good remix artists to take new cracks at the classics, and I'll still bite. Mute did and
do some special things like that for at-the-time current projects, but not so much for the classics even when the catalogue was in house. It may be beating a dead horse to some, but if something like that storybook-housed Innocents box set comes along, I'll live without soup.
