December 1st is World AIDS Day, and this year there is a special release to help raise awareness and money for an incredible charity, VISUAL AIDS.
My duet with Justin Vivian Bond, 'Saying Goodbye Is Exhausting', has a special EP release which included two non-album tracks, a dancefloor-ready remix of the song, and the alternative demo version I recorded before finalising the arrangement.
The song is about premature loss within the LGBTQ+ community, a much too frequent hurdle for us. From the Holocaust, the AIDS crisis, ongoing homophobia and transphobia ... premature goodbyes are a part of LGBTQ+ life and I want to do all I can to support the community, and all who fight to end the horror in whatever way they can. I'm proud to support VISUAL AIDS, on Justin Vivian Bond's recommendation as charity of choice.
There's a special limited edition red cassette and 15% of the profits will go to VISUAL AIDS, a charity that utilizes art to fight AIDS by provoking dialogue, supporting HIV+ artists, and preserving a legacy, because AIDS is not over.
The EP will be available as digital download, streaming, and limited edition cassette. As a bonus the cassette side B features a suite of piano compositions that I have created. This will be issued digitally as a separate EP, but cassette buyers will have the first listen!
Pre-order the cassette, or Pre-Save the digital EP now.
There is also a video of the live performance from Club Cumming with an added performance from Justin Vivian Bond being released on 1st December!
Watch the premiere on YouTube Friday November 20th at 9am ET
I hope you're keeping well. And thank you again for supporting Fun City, and whatever charity / human rights causes / environmental causes you are able to. It takes every little effort to make big changes!

The audio from "Greetings From Fun City", the event I used to launch the 'Fun City' album to the world on its release day!
My performance and vocals were recorded live at NYC's Club Cumming, and as I explained in the full video, the guests' vocals were left in the track to share their incredible contributions to the record.
While I work on how to broadcast the event again, please enjoy the audio! It was so much fun, I hope I can do this again in actual real life!

released March 5, 2021
Vocals recorded and engineered by Rod Thomas.
Event put together with Club Cumming, Sam Benedict, Colt Adam Weiss, Daniel Nardicio and Tyler Jensen.

New 24 track compilation 'So Gay. So Dramatic.' June 18th - every non-album track to date!
Lots of fans have been asking about getting some of the singles on physical formats, and while I can't do that as it's just so expensive / bad for environment, I thought of something fun I COULD do to give these songs the life they deserve
June 18th I'm releasing 'So Gay. So Dramatic.' where all the non-album tracks (not the covers) are divided into PART 1 (So Gay) and PART 2 (So Dramatic).
For the vinyl, Disc 1 (So Gay) is neon magenta, and Disc 2 (So Dramatic) is neon yellow.
The release will be exclusively through my webstore to keep it very simple as stores are closed / dealing with new COVID regulations ... but to help out a little in N. Americas
https://store.brightlightx2.com/collect ... o-dramatic
USA - you can pre-order the VINYL through Amazon US
Canada - you can pre-order the VINYL through Pop Music Toronto
https://www.pop-music.ca/bright-light-b ... vinyl.html
The first track to be shared from it is a brand new song 'What I'd Do For You' which is streaming now! And if you pre-order the album you'll get it as an instant download.
I hope that this collection brings some Spring joy. I've had so much fun re-visiting these songs and remembering the days spent making them. I really hope you enjoy them if you don't know them already! And if you DO know them, I'd love to know your favourites!
