Well, if it's still at 'ideas' stage, it's way off. I wonder what Andy & Vince discussed when they met up in New York recently. At a guess, Vince may have decided it's not right/not feeling like writing new up-beat tracks and anything he writes might reflect his current situation (which is totally understandable).ben wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 8:27 pm I suppose it is a good plan not to bank on a new album or tour any time soon.
New album news

Re: New album news
That's great news. Richard sort of hinted in the last EIS newsletter and suggested more news to follow in early 2025.
Sounds like most of the tracks are finished, but Andy & Vince will get together in January to work on some additional content.

I’ve re-listened to the podcast and I think that quote has been taken out of context,if you listen he says he’s working with Vince on the new album, the other artists to me sounds like they will be on the Andy/Aude album….. what do you think?moxxey wrote: Fri Dec 13, 2024 1:55 pmThat's great news. Just had another listen. Yes, I think the questioner assumed 'just about to put out the new album' was Andy talking about him and Vince. Sounds more like the Aude album (which I'm guessing is complete).Pughie wrote: Fri Dec 13, 2024 4:32 pm I’ve re-listened to the podcast and I think that quote has been taken out of context,if you listen he says he’s working with Vince on the new album, the other artists to me sounds like they will be on the Andy/Aude album….. what do you think?
It would make more sense, but the boys would also need to get a shift on if they want to get the new album out in 2025 if it's still being written. Hopefully September/October is just about do-able if they do most of the production themselves.

EIS (Erasure Information Service) Newsletter
Friday 10th January 2025
I know that we're quite a way into January already and it's late to say it, but as this is the first newsletter of the year then - despite the myriad of terrible things that are currently happening all over the planet - on behalf of Vince and Andy I just want to wish each and every one of you a very Happy New Year, and thank you so much to everyone who sent festive and New Year wishes to Andy and Vince (and, of course, to me and to the rest of the team!).
Although this newsletter is one of those short but sweet ones, I did think that you might like to hear that we are kicking off 2025 in fine style with the news that not only did Vince and Andy reunite over the holiday season to start work on what we hope will become the next Erasure album, but also that they have plans to get together again to continue that work later this month. I did tell you that we were kicking off the year in fine style!
Having said all of that, please be aware that the new album project is only at a very early stage so please don't expect us to be announcing specific details about release dates, tours or promotional activity for quite some time. None of that is intended as a tease, I simply thought you would want to know that things are happening. The additional good news is that we do have all manner of other exciting things in the pipeline for 2025, the first of which we will be announcing shortly. And that IS intended to be a tease...
