Re: Jake Shears
Brilliant news,Jake Shears is now on Mute Records.
I’m beyond stoked to present to you my new single, TOO MUCH MUSIC out TODAY!
I’m so proud of it, and it’s the opening track of my new album, LAST MAN DANCING, which will be released on 2 June 2023
I’m also going to be playing three intimate UK headline shows to launch the album, including London’s Village Underground on release day.
Pre-order any format or bundle of Last Man Dancing now for access to an exclusive ticket pre-sale: https://mute.ffm.to/jakeshears
The album feat collaborations with Kylie Minogue, Amber Martin + Bigfreedia official , a cameo from Jane Fonda plus words of wisdom from Iggy Pop. Production from Boys Noize LE CHEV Oliver and Ryland Blackinton.
Last Man Dancing is my ultimate house party. Presented in two distinct halves, it chronicles a nights journey from sing-along dance anthems into the deeper, darker corners of my living room. Electro-pop, tech-house, poppers-fueled disco, it’s MY afters and YOU just got the address. We can be as loud and late as we want… and while not everyone might make it to the end, it’s the last ones dancing who are rewarded with the most magical moments of the evening.
Too Much Music

Voices (feat. Kylie Minogue)
I Used To Be In Love
Really Big Deal
Last Man Dancing

Jake Shears with special guest Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant
Radio 2's Piano Room
Singer-songwriter and Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears performs live at Maida Vale with the BBC Concert Orchestra directed by Anne Dudley.
It's now 20 years since Scissor Sisters first found fame with their disco-inspired cover of Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb. They followed this up with the release of their self-titled debut album, which included the hit singles Laura, Take Your Mama and Filthy/Gorgeous.
After a decade of success, Scissor Sisters announced that they would be taking an indefinite hiatus at the end of 2012. Since then, Jake has pursued various solo projects. These include his collaborations with Kylie Minogue and Calvin Harris, making his 2018 Broadway debut in Kinky Boots and releasing his own work.
Jake's Piano Room set features the Scissor Sisters favourite Mary, his latest single Too Much Music, and a unique Piano Room moment as he performs his cover of the Pet Shop Boys classic Rent alongside Neil Tennant. Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant

Re: Jake Shears
It’s a gorgeous song and I’m glad you posted it since it obviously has an Erasure influence but Jake didn’t write it. He did, however, co-write Kylie’s “White Diamond” and “I Believe In You”!
