Oh, wow, that's a surprise. Today's newsletter had no mention of any new Erasure single (or EP) or even a hint, yet it's less than 2 weeks away?

Yea it just seems fishy but nothing would surprise me. I assumed that short releases on CD like singles and EPs were just not good sellers anymore and weren’t worth their time.

But at the very least they'd have a digital version of a track from the EP and it would receive a BBC 2 exclusive airplay over the next week or two, especially if it's *so* good as Stefano is claiming.

My guess is that the new single was envisaged earlier this year as way to get airplay and interviews to promote the tour thinking it might be a hard sell after covid, but found it's mostly sold out so.....less of a need now. Let the boys focus on the tour!

I’m going to put this out there,I think seeing as the price is so high that this May well be the Neon EP bundled with the Alternative Neon album. Vince did mention it may well come out bundled with something else. It also ties in with the first date of the tour. I’m hoping a preorder link will appear within the next week to coincide with the tour.
This is just my thoughts I’m not in any special position with inside info!

Two Danish web side have the New EP for pre-ordre release date is October 1.

Which is 3 days from now. No news, nothing.

I must be the only person here who is a bit perplexed what's going on. Talk of a new single back in August, but nothing, talk of an EP 1st October, nothing as of 28 September, talk of an 'Alternative Neon', nothing in the schedule.

The *only* thing I thought of was maybe the new launch(es) were designed to boost UK show sales, thinking they'd struggle to sell seats post-covid, but sales have been decent and mostly now sold out. With that in mind, no rush to release, so perhaps we'll see them post-UK tour.

I'm still thinking they'll mimic the launch of Crackers International and we'll see a December launch.

After the Uk tour they go to the US & Canada, and after that they are probably going to do the rest of Europe, so perhaps that is when this EP is getting released? Perhaps we get the Alternative Neon album and the EP is the lead single?
